Well, it's over for another year! This years Strummercamp
proved to be the toughest yet. Having the show pulled by Macclesfied Rugby Club, after they themselves had been put under
pressure to do so by Macclesfield Borough Council, could easily have spelt the end. With 4 weeks to go and no venue, things
didn't look good. However, we pulled together and managed to find a new venue and put on a show which has been largely well
received. Thankyou to everyone involved for making the impossible happen.
As anyone reading this will know, Strummercamp is organised
by non paid volunteers, dedicated to keeping the spirit of Joe alive. You will all have noticed the lack of sponsorship, despite
offers, and the DIY ethic in which the show is put together. We'd like to thank all those who helped make this years event
a success, especially Chris and Marv for Cafe Mandrake, Louis and his staff behind the bar, Damian, who kept the stage going
brilliantly, Mike (Tele) for acting beyond the call of duty, the VME guys behind the desk, Gadge and Pete for the music, Rory
for stage 2, Mike, Matt, Vinny, Jock... the list is almost endless! A very special thankyou to Amanda, all the way from New
Zealand, hope Strummercamp hasn't put you of the UK!! Of course, there would be no show without those of you who bought tickets
and attended, so a special thankyou to you too! We hope you had a great weekend!
We're really keen to find out what you thought, so we can
continue to improve the festival, so please send us your comments, good, bad or indifferent to:

They will all be welcome, and we will try our best to act
on them.
Strummercamp isn't a slick, well oiled commercial businees
venture, run by corporate business types, it's a DIY festival in the spirit of it's real sponsor, the mighty Joe Strummer.
Anything can happen along the way, and it usually does. As long as you're all happy with that, we'll continue with it. Be
prepared though, that's our advice!
Muchas Gracias! Viva Joe!
